Paper Monster part III

8 1/2 x 11 Cardstock

Remember I said I love Jennifer McGuire? Well I completely borrowed her organization for my 8 1/2 x 11 cardstock storage. I used materials I already had on hand to manage my mess so this didn’t cost me a penny!

Supplies: Magazine holders and thick page protectors.

I don’t need to keep my paper by manufacturer so my only category is color. Any 8 1/2 x 11 patterned paper I may have is stored with my 12 x 12 in the front of the pocket page with any scraps. I do have some specialty paper ( ex. watercolor, acetate, yupo) and currently these are in another paper holder horizontally but will eventually be sorted with my colored paper.

As I said I had magazine holder that I have used in my studio for various storage over the years and I had picked up a box of heavy duty page protectors on clearance somewhere along the way. I was able to fit multiple pages of cardstock in the page protectors and it was perfect for dividing up the multi packs of card stock we pick up at the chain stores, each shade fit in it’s own pocket.

I want it to be visually pleasing and easy to find the color I need so I chose to put the pockets in ROYGBIV order. Any special paper or outliers at the end. I haven’t labeled these pockets because I do not care about manufacturer only color at this stage. As I add my specialty paper or different weight paper to this shelf these will be labeled so I don’t mix anything up.
